How We Do It

We make awesome travel guides using smart algorithms. To do this, we crawl data from open content sources like World66, Wikivoyage, Wikipedia, Open Street Maps, TouristEye and Flickr. Once we have all the data, it’s time to parse. From each source, we extract all the information we can. Afterwards, we start identifying patterns and matching to come up with one complete record for each location. Now it’s time to determine what is most relevant to travelers. We use traveler’s photos and keyword density to analyze our content. Once we’ve got the most important data, we create the most comprehensive mobile travel guides.

Triposo app good for

Its just like a Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy for Earth. It even has currency converters and essential phrasebooks for any country guide you decide to download. The only weak point? It makes you wish you had a wider memory in your device to keep all the guides!
Triposo is a very good application that allows you to get maps live even if you are not connected on Internet. It gives you some good tips, nice historical/cultural background. But make sure you keep it updated! I used it during my trip in Asia, and it proved to be so useful! A must to have.
As a tourist, an Erasmus, an expat... No matter, you need this app. Really good and easy to use
Great app! A bit more flexibity in the creation of city walks could be allowed.
I always download the Triposo app for my travels. There are very good tips and very useful information for any trip. Getting around or finding a place to eat is very easy with this app. It hasnt failed me at any time
Its a very good free application when you are traveling. There are many contents available offline with a good map including metro map and many suggestions about what to do in the city. I like all the explanations on each sites with the attraction price. With navigation mode including city transport (bus) in offline map it would be perfect but I dont know any free offline map to do this.

Some bad moments

I love the principle of being able to sync a trip with the server. And I would like to love the app as well but it doesnt log in using my Facebook account. It keeps telling that I must allow Triposo in Facebook. I have done it but it still refuses to log and keeps telling the same message. Please fix it. I have an iPhone 5 with iOS 6.0.1. and Facebook app installed.
Cant use or create an account using Facebook, its the only way to have an account. Surprisingly citys versions Facebook login does work.
IOS6 update broke the App. It is showing a landscape layout but stuck into portrait mode, with a third of the screen missing on the right and a lot of vacant real estate at the bottom. Very buggy and not usable as it is right now.
Used this app for my trip to Hongkong and Nanjing on my Ipad. Very good guide, interssting information etc. but without wifi I cant use even the offline maps. GPS alone was not enough, ver dissapointed!
The app crashes always when i try to make a booking. It also gives no feedback about if anything has been booked or not. This seriously needs to get fixed!
Good app but one cannot delete already downloaded offline guides.
